Write me!

Amateur blogging is my new love. As I have participated in postaday2011 I have entered into “New Post” mode like a musician enters a recording studio, or a painter begins a new canvas. Like the musician and painter, I want to focus without distractions and white noise. Distraction-free mode is my empty canvas. With nothing around to distract I focus in on my words and sentence structure. I don’t have to think about links or images; video or blocked quotes – I just write. Distraction-free mode reminds me that content is what counts.

Madeleine L’engle, in talking about writing says this: “A book comes and says, “Write me.” My job is to try to serve it to the best of my ability, which is never good enough, but all I can do is listen to it, do what it tells me and collaborate.”

In my new world of blogging I paraphrase that to say “A post comes and says “Write me”. My job is to try to serve it to the best of my ability, but all I can do is listen to it, do what it tells me and collaborate”.  With white space all around me I can collaborate and just write.
